The Pro AERO Mat (as demonstrated to and acknowledged by the SACAA) is a versatile composite airfield matting solution that allows mining, construction & expeditionary forces to create:
- Safe take-off and landing airstrips
- Temporary or permanent parking areas
- Taxiways leading to and from the runway
Our solution provides infrastructure where there is no time, requirement, or ability to build additional permanent facilities for these purposes.

The Pro AERO – Composite AIRCRAFT LANDING MATS has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO Annex 14). Our PCN has been determined by applying processes as listed according to the California bearing ratio (CBR).
Manufacturing Capabilities
Access Terrain Solutions is geared to bulk manufacture composite expedient trackway solutions at approximately 100m²/ day capacity.

- Safety assessment of runway position, direction, and airfield environment
- Identification of ICAO Annex 14 requirements according to client specifications
- Assistance with NOTAM details implementation
- Surface preparation – removal of debris, roots, and rocks
- Placement of geo membrane/geo textile where mats will be installed
- Installation of Pro Aero mats with patented zip-lock feature
- Application of appropriate anchors, joiners, and rubber inserts
- Complete ICAO checklist verification to ensure compliance
- Pre-inspection of the installed runway prior to client handover
