Pro GRI – Grass/Ground Reinforcement – Runway Tile
Durable interlocking tiles creating stable surfaces for aircraft, helipads, and military installations.
Interlocking Soil-reinforcement Tile System
Our unique interlocking tile products are widely utilized for helipads, storage areas, shelter flooring, workshops, and access-ways. We’ve expanded our capabilities to include aircraft parking and heavy-duty strategic matting solutions.
Developed with the user in mind, our system is one of the most straightforward temporary flooring/matting solutions available today. The innovative design allows for rapid deployment with minimal manpower and no specialized tools required.
Our products have received widespread endorsement from military and aid organizations worldwide. For ease of procurement, all products are available with NATO stock numbers.

Helipads
Our unique Helipad system can be deployed in minutes across various terrain types.
The lightweight design requires minimal manpower and eliminates the need for tools.
It doesn’t even need to be secured to the ground.

Aircraft Support
Our versatile Aircraft landing mats (ALM) are engineered for light, medium & heavy aircraft – The Pro GRI version is a permanent aircraft landing mat runway installation giving additional traction to grass runways.
The matting can be rolled into existing grass surfaces, alternatively is can be installed over a gravel surface and grass planted ontop of the aircraft landing mats, as per the picture above.

Camp Infrastructure
Beyond flooring applications, our products excel at linking structures together.
Whether for pedestrian or vehicular use, we have solutions to create access-ways for everything from troops to tracked vehicles.

Aviation Runways System
Current Purpose
The main purpose of our soil-reinforcement tile is to reinforce soil for light aircraft operations, creating safer landings and take-offs.
Original Purpose
The tile was originally designed to provide stable soil runway areas in remote African locations, preventing wild animals from digging holes in runways that could have devastating consequences.
Expanded Uses
The soil-reinforcement tiles can now be utilized for runways, aprons, helipads, taxiways, hard-standings, and hangar floors.
Installation Information
Ground Preparation
The soil requires some leveling preparation. The tiles can either be rolled into grass or placed on top of a level soil surface, allowing grass to grow through them.
Basic Remote Location Installation
The soil-reinforcement tiles can be clipped together and placed on soft soil. After rain or irrigation when mud forms on the surface beneath the tiles, compact by driving a 4×4 1-ton vehicle over the area several times (or use a roller compactor). The mud creates a natural suction effect that secures the tiles in position. Over time, the load-bearing capabilities and stability improve as the tiles bond with the original surface.
Alternative methods include cutting existing lawn very short and rolling the tiles (with their blade-like edges) into the lawn. The technique used will depend on the specific ground, soil, and surface conditions encountered.
This product has been extensively tested in Africa for several years.
Extended Applications
Beyond remote locations, this product can enhance existing airports, private airfields, and game lodges. It can significantly improve safety for light aircraft using grass runways, allowing for an extended flying season and generating additional revenue.
